Bi-Rite

A long exposure photograph of a small neighborhood market. The store appears to be closed at this late hour in the night. The interior lights are on and you can make out the stocked shelves of goods glowing in the windows. Above the windows are giant letters creating the word "Bi-Rite" these letters have lights behind them creating stark contrast between them and the tiled wall behind them. The lights fully illuminate the gleaming tiles. In the foreground the empty sidewalk and edge of the road can be seen.

About:

More from San Francisco, just around the corner from the 500 Club. Bi-Rite is small SF grocery store chain with a very satisfying type-face for a logo.

When traveling, I usually take a stroll around looking for night lights. I think I saw this the night before, walked back the next night and got lucky that there were no cars parked in front.

Looking at this makes me want run in for some nice cheese and a baguette.
