Late night pollo

A long exposure photograph of a street food stand on the corner of two streets. The photograph is framed at an angle so two sides of the stand can be seen. The name "Pollo Ditu" is written on the top of the stand. On one side patrons can be seen sitting, two are dark and obscured by motion blur, a third can be seen in more still detail illuminated by the lights from inside the stand. Inside the stand cooks can be seen tending to their grills. Behind the stand the faint details of a large wall can be seen. The wall extends to the top of the frame. Street lights can be seen in the distance illuminating the road on the far side of the stand.

About:

See the page for Fidel to get a bit of the back story on my trip to Cuba.

I walked by this pollo stand a ton of times before deciding to take a photograph. It seemed like there was always a car in front or a bunch of people milling around.

I really enjoy the details of the wall behind the stand in the shadows. The interesting characters that you can start to make out as you look closer add to mood of this one.

Unfortunately I did not sample the pollo.
