Tiled in (Hunt's tomb)

A long exposure photograph of a pyramid made of rectangular white tiles. The pyramid is brightly lit against a dark sky. In front of the pyramid the dark silhouette of an iron fence can be seen. As the fence extends beyond the pyramid, you can very slightly still see the dark fence against the black sky. The size and purpose of the pyramid is a mystery.

About:

Arizona's first governor is buried in this pyramid that is situated in Papago Park. It was built in the 30s out of what look like bathroom tiles to me. It's an object that has always fascinated me, such a weird thing of the past. I couldn't imagine them doing something like this in modern times.

I went out here with a pal one night to see what we could photograph at night and luckily they keep the thing flood lit all night. There was a big desert owl that kept following us around being interested in what we were doing. Maybe it was the spirit of Gov. Hunt.
